Let’s Build a 3D Habitat on the Moon! (Grades 6-12)

NASA’s Artemis Missions will return humans to the Moon to live and work as a testbed for crewed exploration farther into the solar system, beginning with Mars. The Artemis Base Camp will be a permanent outpost at Shackleton Crater located at the lunar south pole. Northwest Earth and Space Sciences Pathways' Artemis ROADS II (Rover Observations and Discoveries in Space) framework explores NGSS aligned hands-on STEM activities for students in grades 3 – 12. In this sample mission, participants will use 3D pens as a printing technique to build a habitat for the Moon.
