My Session Status

When:
3:40 PM, Wednesday 26 Jun 2024 (1 hour 20 minutes)
Where:
The Center for Space Education - Room 9020
Engage students with a gel electrophoresis experiment analyzing DNA from the International Space Station! Can you determine whether dangerous bacteria have stowed away aboard the ISS before any crewmembers get sick? Microbe Hunters is a lab activity that can be implemented in person, using a low-cost electrophoresis kit, or online through a free virtual lab. Use these resources to introduce your students to space biology, the International Space Station, and the science behind molecular biology techniques including PCR and gel electrophoresis.
