
Eva Carrender is a veritable LEGO Mindstorms expert who is dedicated to STEAM teaching. Eva has been a LEGO Robotics teacher, coach and mentor since 1999. As a co-founder of the Northern California FIRST LEGO League, she is instrumental in bringing LEGO Robotics to countless schools and organizations in the Bay Area. Eva specializes in project development and succeeds in expanding the minds of her students in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art and math.
Currently Eva works for LEGO Education, teaching after school robotics at elementary schools throughout the South Bay area.
Eva is an artist who teaches Art classes, a talented costume designer, makeup artist.
Eva’s background as an instructor includes teaching as a LEGO Education Academy Trainer, LEGO Robotics Curriculum developer at Stanford University, DeAnza College, the Tech Museum of Innovation. Teaching Art at Washington Open Elementary, SC Senior Center, and professional makeup artist for California Great America.
Eva is community minded and continues to volunteer on weekends. You can find Eva running LEGO Robotic events at such venues as RoboGames, Maker Faire and Bricks by the Bay or attending Cosplay events.
