Ellen Coatney is a woman of many hats. She has her Ph.D. in Human Physiology from UC Davis and is currently the Biology Department Chair at Contra Costa College where she teaches anatomy and physiology. On her weekends she is found at many of the local Renaissance Faires where she is the director of the dance troupe the Merrie Pryanksters. In her non-existent free time she enjoys reading, knitting, crochet, sewing and other crafts. She has promised herself that someday she will actually catch up on her grading and do something fun.
