I am a retired Navy SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) Instructor. I have taught survival for over 25 years, including cold weather survival, Tropical environment survival, Advanced Evasion and Temperate woodland survival. Since moving to the bay area I have shifted my courses to more urban type survival as more than 50% of the population now lives in an urban environment. I am a "Jack of all trades". Urban Survival has some unique aspects and problems which I will speak to.
