Having thrown parties at Bay Area cons for 20 years, Kai MacTane is now moving into panels. His interest in constructed languages dates back over 15 years, when he fell in love with Quenya (Tolkien's "high elvish"). His favorite fandoms include Babylon 5, Middle-earth, the Vorkosigan Saga, and most recently, The Expanse. He's been an avid cosplayer at local cons for a few years; many people remember his "Loki goes to the opera in Stuttgart" even though he's more recently been rocking a bald head as Spider Jerusalem and Lex Luthor. His other interests include client-side web development, cocktails and amateur bartending, sushi, goth DJing, bacon, and learning Japanese.
