Kenneth Schneyer ("Ken") was a finalist for both the Nebula and Sturgeon Memorial awards for his story, "Selected Program Notes from the Retrospective Exhibition of Theresa Rosenberg Latimer." Fairwood Press released his second collection, Anthems Outside Time and Other Strange Voices, in 2020. His most recent short story, "Laws of Impermanence", appeared in Uncanny Magazine in 2020. Ken's short fiction can be found in Lightspeed, Uncanny, Strange Horizons, Analog, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Podcastle, Pseudopod, Escape Pod, Daily Science Fiction, the Clockwork Phoenix anthologies, Toasted Cake, the Drabblecast, and elsewhere. If he has a "brand," it is alternative voicing and indirect narrative, as well as questions issues of memory, loss, and regret. Ken was trained as a lawyer, actor/director, computer programmer, and project manager, and now works (by day) as a college professor teaching constitutional law, science fiction literature, introductory logic, Shakespeare, and other things. Born in Detroit, he now lives in Rhode Island with his spouse, two mighty hunters, and occasionally his grown children. He is interested in astronomy, genealogy, presidential history, ancient Rome, feminist theory, antiracism, cooking, bicycling, and practically everything else.
