Faye Ringel is Professor Emerita of Humanities, U.S. Coast Guard Academy. She is the author of New England's Gothic Literature (E. Mellen, 1995) and is working on a sequel, to be published in 2022 in a series on the International Gothic. She has also published on (among other subjects) New England vampires, urban fantasy, Lovecraft, King, Tolkien, Greer Gilman, Yiddish folklore, and The Three Stooges.
Her CD of traditional music with fiddler Bob Thurston is Hot Chestnuts: Old Songs, Endearing Charms. Before the pandemic, she sang and played piano with the Klezmer band Klezmenschen, performed cabaret with the Chelsea Players, and wrote and produced theater at the Norwich Arts Center in Norwich, CT.
Her first Boskone was 1970, and she has been a program participant for about half of the years since then.
