Peadar O'Guilin

Irish author Peadar O’Guilin writes YA adventure stories that are so tense, even George R.R. Martin has called him “dark and twisted”. Peadar has done his best to live up to that reputation with the two contributions he's had so far to the Wild Cards universe in Knaves Over Queens and Three Kings.

In September 2007, Peadar published his first novel, The Inferior, which the Times Educational Supplement hailed as "a stark, dark tale, written with great energy and confidence and some arresting reflections on human nature." Foreign editors liked it too, and in following years, it was translated into eight languages, including Korean, Turkish and German.
More recent novels include the award winning, The Call, and its Lodestar shortlisted sequel, The Invasion. He's a slow writer, but more work is definitely on the way.
