On behalf of the program committee and CCAR leaders and staff, we welcome you to Atlanta and CCAR’s 128th Annual Convention.
Welcome to Atlanta and the 128th Annual CCAR Convention!
We are thrilled that you are here and look forward to an incredible few days filled with learning, and inspiration, renewal and recommitments as we navigate what it means to be a rabbi during turbulent times. We are excited for the incredible presenters and teachers at this 128th Convention of the CCAR, as well as looking forward to taking advantage of the important resources here in Atlanta in person. With special plenary sessions on social justice, modern ethics, and how we talk about Israel, followed by workshop intensives continuing the same themes, our Convention promises to address the very real-time needs of rabbis and the diverse communities we serve.
Like last year, our program is laid out with the idea that many of us may want to focus our time in specific areas. Throughout these days that we will share, we challenge you to engage with a specific track or to attend workshops, no matter the track, that speak to your interests. Our hope is that with the many wonderful workshops and speakers, that you will find meaning and purpose in your personal rabbinate to help with the work that you do.
During our many hafsakot, we invite you to visit the exhibit area. Sit down for a cup of coffee with friends. Continue a conversation that started in a workshop. Meet a CCAR board member.
Thank you for being here. Please come up and say hi or introduce yourself! Our hope is that this Convention will serve to catalyze each of us as individuals and as a rabbinic community to make an impact in our lives and our world.
