Rabbi Lucy Dinner serves as Senior Rabbi of Temple Beth Or in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dinner chairs the CCAR Committee on Justice, Peace and Civil Rights, and is a Vice Chair of the Reform Movement’s Commission on Social Action. Dinner serves on the Board of Rise Against Hunger, an international hunger cessation organization; and on the Triangle Martin Luther King Committee. She also works with the leadership of North Carolina’s Moral Movement and speaks at State and National rallies for justice. Rabbi Dinner has served on the Board of ARZA, the URJ Committee on the Jewish Family, and the CCAR Nominating Committee.
Rabbi Dinner teaches in the Melton Adult Education Initiative and speaks at Triangle area universities and congregations. Her Torah commentaries have been published in The Women’s Torah Commentary and the URJ’s Ten Minutes of Torah.
