As much as we would like our synagogues to be places where only those with peaceful intentions come through our doors, the reality is that today's world poses many dangers to Jewish people gathered in groups. With mass shootings nearly equal to one per day in America, it is important that as community leaders we make ourselves aware of potential threats in our midst. We are fortunate to have Special Agent Jeff Cugno from the Los Angeles office of the FBI joining us to teach us to identify possible threats before they elevate to endangering our community, as well as how to assess and manage threats should they occur. SA Cugno is the Lead Coordinator for the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime (NCAVC) and a Team Leader for the Evidence Response Team (ERT).
