The Tanach, the New Testament, and the Qur’an are replete with unsettling passages that, over the course of history, have sometimes led the faithful to persecute, subjugate, and commit violence against members of the other Abrahamic religions. Rather than pretend that these passages do not exist, the clergy of Omaha’s groundbreaking Tri-Faith Initiative will address them head-on and explore ways to engage congregations in serious, thoughtful, and relational study of Judaism’s, Christianity’s, and Islam’s most problematic texts.
