The Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark Assessment System helps teachers to determine a student’ s independent and instructional reading levels, observe specific reading behaviours, and plan for effective instruction based on their results. This session offers an overview of versions 1,2 and 3 of the assessment system as well as helpful tips for evaluating reading.
