I am an educator of secondary mathematics. I have 24 years of teaching experience in a variety of contexts: 16 years in Alberta high schools, and eight years as an international school educator and leader. I hold a B.Ed. degree from the University of Calgary and an M.Ed. from the University of Minnesota. My professional development continues as Ph.D. candidate at the University of Minnesota in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development (OLPD) and Comparative International Development and Education (CIDE). This is a cohort-based doctorate for international educators and those interested in leadership in international/intercultural contexts, specifically designed to meet the needs of leaders working in highly diverse organizations. A significant component of the program is centred on policy and organizational development in diverse global contexts. I am an avid scuba diver and gardener. I have two beautiful children and a lovely 5 year old grandchild.
