Come prepared to bring your imagination and work with math patterns and concepts, art and problem solving. Participants will get to create patterns and works of "art" with regular spotted dice. Concepts for math include: number, sequencing, and higher level math patterns, 3D for area, perimeter, volume, analyze, identify and justify patterns, shapes, tessellations, and more. Ideas for integrating other subject areas will also be included. This is a new workshop and is one of our favorite ways to integrate math and art with our students. Student samples, journal extensions and math talk will be shared throughout.
