This workshop will focus on using 100-dot arrays for the main number operations: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Besides being cost-effective, 100-dot arrays allow students to represent, visualize, and thus understand numbers and number operations. After working through examples using this tool, you will want to use arrays with your students right away! I recommend that you bring a highlighter or two to this session. (Especially recommended for grades 2-5.)
