This workshop will focus on using short math activities (Zingers!) that help students develop number concepts, build fluency in thinking, and generally understand numbers better. Doing these activities just 5 or 10 minutes a day in the classroom allows the brain to build neural pathways that improve math thinking (very much like regular, focused practice on an instrument improves the playing of that instrument). The activities cover a variety of topics in math, but we will primarily focus on those are related to number and operations. Come learn how Zingers can make a difference for your students! Recommended for grades 1-6.
