A few years ago, Karen Scarlett received news that her nephew and niece were being bullied at school in Ontario. After much discussion at home, these dolls and story book with colouring pages emerged. These dolls are quirky, colourful and different. They are a great way to discuss difference, acceptance and inclusion, and the necessary role kindness plays in human interaction in the classroom and beyond.

Join Karen and Christina Henderson, a grade-two teacher at Auburn Bay Elementary School with Calgary Board of Education. Learn how they introduced these dolls into her classroom as a learning module to teach children about kindness, tolerance and inclusion.
