In this session, participants will explore ways to get our youngest learners on the social justice journey; resulting in an appreciation of self and others. Discover resources and strategies to introduce and begin conversations about topics and issues such as: self-awareness, diversity, empathy, social responsibility, sustainability, and stewardship. Examine how to facilitate and scaffold inquiry learning where students develop skills to think critically, solve problems, make informed judgements, and communicate ideas. Learn ways to weave stories of social justice into classroom lessons to encourage students to ask questions, consider alternatives, and take action towards a more just and sustainable world!
