Powerful learning happens when design thinking and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) are merged. Wonderville.org, a blended learning platform, delivers STEM education to K-12 and uses design thinking as a vehicle to engage kids in learning. In this session, participants will discover how Wonderville.org’s blended interdisciplinary approach addresses both curriculum outcomes and essential competencies. The design thinking framework used in Wonderville.org’s resources infuses lessons with creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and innovative problem solving. By the conclusion of the session, participants should understand the benefits of design thinking, see how Wonderville.org uses blended learning to deliver design thinking experiences, and be armed with ideas for how to create a design thinking project for any STEM unit from K-12.Who's Attending
