"Social Studies students can take an imaginary road trip across Canada on our national highway, using the resources on TransCanadaHighway.com to look at communities, history, geography, flora, fauna, and first nations along the way. The site considers museums, attractions, parks, and various family-friendly activities to enjoy along the way and at your destination. 97% of the Trans-Canada passes through non-urban areas, where there is so much to see and do: its not just “empty countryside” If you know what to look for.

Interact with other web resources to make the virtual experience more real.

Use sister websites MovinginCanada.com and FoundLocally.com. for a virtual student exchange, to pre-imagine a student exchange student with another city, to look at schools, parks, shopping, recreation in that community."
