Ryan Turner has worked with the CBE for over 20 years as a division I/II/III Teacher, Learning Leader, AP and Principal. He has worked in a myriad of alternative programs, and effectuated positive change in schools by collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders. This is his fifth Calgary City Teachers’ Convention presentation, and he recently presented at Canada’s largest Educational Technology Conference on the development of critical thinking competency in K-12 students. He has been spotlighted at CBE’s System Assistant Principal meetings and Galileo Learning Leader sessions for his effective leadership practices. He is passionate about creating engaging, worthwhile learning experiences, and helping students discover and develop their own passions while supporting their well-being. Ryan also loves spending time with his wife and children, camping, athletics of all kinds (including having run a few Boston Marathons), and of course enjoying board games with friends and family!
