Mary Graham

Librarian, Children and Families, Central Library
Calgary Public Library
Participates in 1 Session
A professional librarian for 20 years, Mary Graham has worked with children of all ages in a variety of settings, including school and public libraries and her professional practice has been enhanced by her own experiences as a parent of 4 children. After watching them blossom in a Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool program, she became a proponent of integrating inquiry and play-based learning in a library environment. She is committed to pushing the boundaries of traditional library services and an enthusiastic practitioner of design thinking processes to develop programs that will help children and caregivers to fulfill their potentials. When she is not working with children and families at Calgary Public Library, she can be found reading, playing, and gardening with her own children, as well as participating in community musical theatre.
