Liz McManus

Liz McManus has been an educator since 2002, initially in Ontario and now in Calgary. After several years as a classroom teacher, she went into middle school resource and is now working in the role of strategist for inclusive learning with the Calgary Board of Education. She has a passion for supporting struggling students across all grades, but particularly middle school, and conducted research at the University of Calgary into reducing drop out rates through early identification and intervention for students at risk during the middle school years. When not at work, Liz enjoys being outdoors running, biking, hiking or skiing, hanging out with her husband and two rescue dogs, and attending or participating in various performing arts activities and events.
