Tammy Schamuhn is a Registered Psychologist, Registered Play Therapist, Co-Founder of the Institute of Child Psychology, and Executive Director of Family Counselling Centres. While she is a practicing clinician, she is also an educator, with a bachelors in elementary education, and international speaker. Tammy's clinical specialities include childhood anxiety, trauma, play therapy, and assisted therapy. Tammy is heavily involved in the education of entry-level professionals in the field of psychology in Canada and the US, and provides clinical supervision and training to masters-level interns, provisional psychologists, and play therapists. Tammy approaches her clinical and consultative work from an attachment and neurological based lens: all her work and research is based on the interpersonal neurobiology of psychology, and how attachment is integral to the adaptive functioning of children and adults.
