Lisa is currently a PhD student in Education at the University of Calgary, studying the impact of Comprehensive School Health (CSH) on staff and student wellness. Lisa has also been teaching with the Calgary Board of Education (CBE) since 2010 and specializes in secondary Physical Education (PE). Lisa has taught grades 1-5, 7-9, and 10-12 PE, spent four years as a high school PE Learning Leader, and successfully launched CSH teams within two CBE schools. Lisa completed a Master’s of Physical Education degree through Memorial University of Newfoundland with her thesis focused on how social media can be used to achieve PE outcomes and support student physical activity (#active365). Lisa has the long-term goal of teaching pre-service teachers and to continue to research as an academic. In her own time, Lisa loves to travel and to be active daily with her daughter, husband, and labradoodle.
