Cathy Beveridge

Writing Consultant/Author
Participates in 2 items
Cathy is the author of six young adult and children’s novels, as well as a teacher and writing consultant. She blends her experiences as an author and a teacher to bring a natural innovative approach to teaching creative writing that empowers both teachers and students. In regards to narrative writing, Cathy believes that there are two skills necessary to write a great story – the ability to create a good story plan, and the ability to write a powerful scene. She structures her presentations and workshops to show how it is possible to teach these skills in manageable pieces.
