Towani Duchscher is an educator, dancer, poet, and artist in residence. Towani taught highschool English and Dance for the CBE and she now teaches core curriculum through movement and dance as an artist in residence in schools. ​Towani holds a Doctoral degree in Curriculum and Learning and her PhD research engaged students in interdisciplinary arts-based educational research through dance, storytelling, and poetry. She is thrilled to share her love of dance with students and offer them opportunities to learn through collective motion while celebrating the beauty of diversity in each classroom. Towani is passionate about listening to the knowledge that we hold in our bodies and allowing its emergence to help us make connections across the curriculum, with each other, and with the world. She is currently a sessional instructor at the Werklund School of Education.
