Shamez Kassam, MBA, CFA, is a 2004 graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business in New York City, where he majored in finance and economics. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute. Before entering the world of finance, Shamez completed an undergraduate degree from the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta and worked as an occupational therapist for five years.

Shamez is a financial educator and is passionate about enhancing financial literacy in students. He believes in teaching money management and financial planning basics in high schools. Shamez is also a specialist in socially responsible investing. In 2017, he published his first book: Your Moneys’ Worth: The Essential Guide to Financial Advice for Canadians. He lives in Calgary with his wife and six-year-old son.
