Is a pediatric anesthesiologist and Assistant Professor with the University of Calgary. She is the Medical Director of the Vi Riddell Pain Program at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, which is a unique program involving a partnership with clinical care and pediatric pain research, as well as specialized programming such as the intensive pain rehabilitation program for adolescents. Her clinical work involves providing anesthesia for children and managing acute, complex and chronic pain in youth. Academic commitments involve teaching trainees at all levels of training and research collaboration. She is the Co-Chair of the Acute Pain Working Group of the Alberta Pain Strategy, and is the CKCM Topic Lead for Pediatric Chronic Pain. Her passion is improving the management of pain and mental health co-morbidities in youth, allowing them to reach their full potential.
