Dr. Torie Carlson is a PhD Psychologist working with paediatric complex pain in the Vi Riddell Children's Pain and Rehabilitation Centre at Alberta Children's Hospital. He has expertise treating children with both acute and chronic pain, burns, and other chronic diseases. He is also the resident expert on utilizing medical hypnosis to increase comfort and well-being in children. In addition, he provides psychological care to the children in the Vi Riddell Intensive Pain and Rehabilitation Program. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in Anesthesia at the University of Calgary, Faculty of Medicine.
