Participates in 1 Session

Rosalind Gilchrist has over 15 years’ experience in various education settings. She started out as an Outdoor Education Instructor, which is where she developed her love of nature and experienced the profound effect it has on young people. From there she gained a BSc (Hons) in Science and Education and transitioned to a secondary science teacher, incorporating the outdoors into her teaching on a regular basis. After a few years as a science teacher she became the department’s curriculum specialist, developing new curriculum in line with government changes while acquiring a Graduate Certificate in Professional Educational Studies.  When she moved here from England she quickly settled at the Calgary Zoo, coordinating all the school programs on offer and relishing the opportunity to share her passion for nature with students and teachers alike, while working on her Masters in Environmental Education and Communication.
