Olena Olafson is a professional engineer who has worked at the Calgary Board of Education for over 10 years. Olena’s role is to develop, promote and implement sustainability initiatives that involve and engage both internal and external stakeholders at the Calgary Board of Education. She led the development of the CBE Sustainability Framework, was involved in the creation of the CBE Waste Management Strategy and helped conduct the (first ever) CBE Greenhouse Gas Inventory. She looks forward to sharing the CBE connection to the Calgary Schools for Climate Action initiative.
