Rick Wolcott is a Calgary-based Salish carver who likes to reminisce that he first carved a canoe and figure with a knife given to him from his Tillamook grandfather at the wee age of four. Rick is a land-based education enthusiast who has shared his skills and knowledge with everyone from Junior Forest Wardens to attendees at Carving on the Edge in Tofino, BC. He has been working with CBE educators to nurture interested people's understanding of indigenous art and culture for many years.
