This papier mache, two day symposium is a hands on workshop focusing on building a 3D sculpture. Activity will incorporate fundamentals of art and design making. Teachers will develop artistic skills involving tactile experiences using a variety of materials, methods, and techniques while exploring the theme of dance and movement found in the Indigenous Pow Wow. Teachers will choose from four examples as a reference and will leave with a 3D sculpture and knowledge of Indigenous customs. Handouts will be available as well to bring back to the classroom.
