Mindful Teacher Mindful Classroom

As a K-12 school teacher I quickly realized my role was more than just teaching the curriculum... kids were stressed and anxious as young as 7 or 8 years old, many kids in my classroom were labelled ADD or ADHD, unable to focus, concentrate or even sit still, there was bullying, depression, anger issues, insomnia and the list goes on and on. Many of the teachers and parents too were dealing with this. I wanted to do something. I wanted help. So, I developed a TIME OUT Mindfulness Training & Kit specifically for teachers, students and parents.

During this session, I will teach you a variety of mindfulness techniques for relaxation, to help improve concentration and self-regulate thoughts and emotions to integrate in your daily life and in the classroom with your students. You will also get to experience in 30 seconds how you can shift negative thought patterns with a very simple breathing technique. I will conclude this session with a meditation I was taught by a Yoga Master in India which is backed by scientific research showing more blood flow to the frontal lobe...the area responsible for focus, concentration and memory.
