Creating movement opportunities in the hallways is becoming more common practice. This session will provide science informed insights on how to purposefully consider floor tape use and designs to support regulation, sensory breaks, attention, executive functioning, readiness to learn, motor skill practice, and engagement. This presentation draws on various research and movement physiology to create innovative designs – from simple to more involved. Additional floor tape tips, considerations, and challenges (i.e. floor concerns) will be discussed to empower participants. Interestingly, there is clear floor tape...come to the session to learn why and so much more!
