Teaching yoga as a term- or semester-long Locally Developed Course (as opposed to a two-week module within another class or extracurricular clubs) has gained popularity within the CBE. As with all courses, there are challenges and success in yoga education. Some of these challenges can include training, space, availability of props, class composition, staff and/or parental feedback, and ongoing professional development. However, yoga has provided some students with avenues for cross-training, cross-curricular connection, stress-reduction, and personal growth. Join other yoga teachers in this session to discuss strategies to deal with these challenges and share success stories.
