Learn how to facilitate a student-led design thinking challenge. Rooted in empathetic design, this process leads students through problem-solving from predicting solutions to testing, to revision, to deployment. Help students develop digital skills and learn how to incorporate open-source data to expand the possibilities for inquiry across disciplines at the secondary level.


Learn how to facilitate a student-led design thinking challenge that incorporates programmable devices, sensors along with the UN Sustainable Development Goals to help students choose empathy driven solutions to real world problems.

Help students develop digital skills and learn how to incorporate programmable devices, sensors and more to expand the possibilities for inquiry across disciplines at the secondary level.


The following materials are needed by the Participant:

• Laptop & power cord with updated browser and access to internet; OR

• Mobile device with updated operating system and MakeCode app
