The Critical Thinking Consortium

How can we get our students to think like historians bringing the history curriculum to life in the process? In this session we will explore six historical thinking concepts: Historical significance, historical perspective, evidence and interpretation, ethical judgment, continuity and change, and cause and consequence. We will consider how to use these concepts to frame the history curriculum while engaging and challenging our students. We will address the challenge of how to scaffold and meaningfully assess historical thinking.
