Ten Peaks Innovation is a not-for-profit organization, hosting annual educational conferences to students grade 7 – 12 on energy, our environment and climate. Ten Peaks offers free lesson plans focusing on innovation, technology, our environment and supports a student led case competition.    

Ten Peaks Innovation Xchange (10PIX)

10PIX 2023 is a free, one day hybrid conference held on October 12, 2023.  The 2023 conference theme is: Our Net Zero Future.  The in-person event will be held at Red Deer Polytechnic, with live streaming available for all schools in Alberta.  10PIX provides dynamic, insightful and thought-provoking discussions between experts, teachers and grade 7 - 12 students about our transition to a more inclusive, sustainable future.   We offer $500 per school for transportation and substitute teacher fees.  

We want to hear from you!  Please let us know what your students want to learn at our next student conference by completing the 10PIX 2023 Topic Suggestions survey.  Completing the survey enters you into the draw to win a $50 VISA gift card. We will make the draw and inform you on March 21.

Free Learning Resources

We share resources!  Wanting to teach your students about emerging green energy technology but don't know where to find current information?  We have two solutions for you.

• Our Learning Library contains archived videos of industry, environmental educators, and government professionals speaking about our energy transition.
• Check out our Lesson Materials Catalogue to access our free ready-made lesson resources.
• Learning resources are developed with Nature's Ride that meet today's science and social studies curriculum standard on energy, our environment and climate.

Post conference we support in classroom Student Action Projects with microgrants for $100/school.  2022 projects will conclude in May 2023 with a case competition. Registration for 2023 projects will open next September.
