Booth 517

Are you looking for resources and services to support your students’ mental health? You’ve come to the right place!

McMan's booth will provide educational materials, handouts, and opportunities to discuss our DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) Skills Training with educators, administrators, and anyone who would like to be part of supporting youth mental health.

DBT Skills Training is a practical and evidence based approach to supporting our youth. It is designed to teach specific skills in:

  • Mindfulness – building self awareness of emotions and physical reactions
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness – communicating better with others and developing healthy relationships
  • Distress Tolerance – managing stressful situations without feeling worse
  • Emotional Regulation – Understanding your emotions and why you feel them

Over the course of the 12-week program, skills are taught to youth and adolescents in a group setting, similar to a classroom setting, to allow individuals to learn from each other and provide a safe forum for practicing skills in the moment. Our trained and educated group facilitators provide teachings and new information and members participate in discussions and hands-on practice of the skills.

Our goal is to support more youth in our community through preventative services that help youth further develop adaptive skills and promote a healthier foundation of mental health.
