
Khalil Shahyd is the Project Manager in the Urban Solutions program at the Natural Resources Defense Council. Khalil works to increase utility funded energy efficiency programs targeting the affordable multi-family housing sector. In addition he is leading NRDC’s outreach and coordination of affordable housing partners to advocate for efficiency investments in the EPA’s Clean Power Plan. He has a MA degree in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University and a PhD in Energy and Environmental Policy from the University of Delaware where he developed a specialization in Urban Political Ecology.
