Lee Anderson is the Director of Legislation and Policy for the BlueGreen Alliance, a coalition of 15 labor and environmental organizations. Since 2010, Lee has done advocacy work for the BlueGreen Alliance, with a portfolio including worker health and safety issues, national chemical policy, energy transition, infrastructure investment, and international trade agreements. Prior to joining the BlueGreen Alliance, Lee worked as a union-side labor attorney with the Provost Umphrey Law Firm, representing trade unions and individual workers. His law practice centered on union organizing and bargaining, labor arbitrations, employment discrimination, overtime wages, and ERISA issues. He also taught several courses on these topics as adjunct faculty at Middle Tennessee State University. Admitted to practice in Arkansas, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Iowa, Lee has advocated for the rights of workers and their unions in Federal and State courts across the southeastern and mid-western United States, and now continues that worker advocacy here in Washington, D.C. Lee received a B.B.A. in Finance from Iowa State University in 1990 and a J.D. from the Drake University School of Law in 1995.
