As a scientist who has always worked on practical problems (from synthesis of alcohols from waste gases to remediation of nuclear, mixed, and hazardous wastes) Sabrina Fu began her career thinking that science was the key to solving societal problems. Working on large issues of alternative energy sources and waste management, she realized the limitations of science to solve societal problems in general. Seeing the beauty of CCL’s focus on a non-partisan solution and their approach to listening to concerns and helping others overcome barriers, she began the Howard County group in 2015 and has held many other volunteer positions at CCL, hoping to be a resource to those who want to create the political will for a livable world.  Latest venture: How can we form a continuous fabric of “we”?
