Scott Nystrom received his B.A. in history, B.S. in economics, and M.A. in economic history from Iowa State University in Ames, IA. From 2011 to mid-2016, he worked as an economist and senior associate for Regional Economic Models, Inc. (REMI) in Washington, DC. While at REMI, in 2014, he authored "The Economic, Climate, Fiscal, Power, and Demographic Impact of a National Fee-and-Dividend Carbon Tax" with Patrick Luckow of Synapse Energy Economics. The Nystrom-Luckow study was the first impact study to examine CF&D for CCL and its broad implications for different regional economies in the United States, the federal budget, and the power generation sector. He recently took a job as a research associate for the University of Cincinnati Economics Center.
