The Rev. Margaret Bullitt-Jonas, Ph.D., is an Episcopal priest, author, retreat leader, and climate activist. An ecumenical pioneer, Margaret serves as Missioner for Creation Care in the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts, and Mass. Conference, United Church of Christ. She is a founding member of Massachusetts Interfaith Coalition for Climate Action and a leader in New England Regional Environmental Ministries. One of the first to engage in civil disobedience to draw attention to climate change, Margaret was arrested with 21 others in prayer outside the U.S. Department of Energy in Washington, DC, in May 2001. Her latest book, Joy of Heaven, to Earth Come Down, is a collection of Advent and Christmas meditations on the sacredness of the natural world.
