Pietro Emilio Spini has lived and studied in Milan, Italy. While at Bocconi University he participated to an exchange program with Cornell University, an experience that has made him acquainted with education and research in the United States. Fascinated by the vast opportunities offered by research institutions he has decided to pursue an academic career in economics. Currently a student in the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University Pietro will start his PhD program in Economics at University of California, San Diego in the Fall 2016. Pietro is interested in research on carbon pricing and seeks to develop tools for the analysis of carbon taxation policies. Recently he has been working on forecasting the cost of carbon taxation on US agriculture.
