
Tom Erb is a rising junior at Pomona College in Claremont, California, majoring in Public Policy Analysis with a concentration in Environmental Analysis. He plans to pursue a career in public service where, among other things, he hopes to positively impact the natural environment
In 2015, he was the Event Director for the Know Tomorrow Claremont climate awareness event. After the event, Erb used the momentum to establish a citizens' climate lobby chapter at the Claremont Colleges.
Outside of academia, Erb is a “dynamic character” in James Cameron’s award-winning documentary, Years of Living Dangerously. Joining an all-star cast, the documentary follows Erb’s efforts to bring carbon pricing to the forefront of American politics. Season two of the documentary will be shown on National Geographic in October 2016.
Erb is both greatly honored and especially excited to join the office of United States
Senator Brian Schatz this summer.
